Professor of Leadership and Education Assistant/Associate Professor

We invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track position for Assistant/Associate Professor of Leadership and Education. Candidates who have previously earned rank at ¹ú²ú̽»¨ will be considered for appointment at the same level. The successful candidate will teach both core and research courses, integrate interdisciplinary approaches, promote empirical research in leadership and education, help oversee dissertation processes, and contribute to the growth of our online Doctor of Education program.
We seek candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Terminal degree required. Qualified candidates should hold one of the following: Ph.D. in Education, Leadership, Interdisciplinary Studies, or related fields with a focus on interdisciplinary research; or Ed.D. in Educational Leadership or Organizational Leadership.
- Proven experience in teaching core and research courses at the graduate level in leadership and/or education.
- Demonstrated capacity for conducting and promoting empirical research, particularly in leadership and education, with an interdisciplinary focus.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to different modalities and effectively engage students in online (asynchronous) and face-to-face doctoral classes during residency periods.
- Proven expertise in online teaching and course design, particularly within graduate programs. Knowledge of Brightspace is a plus.
- Active participation in scholarly activities, including publications, conference presentations, and contributing to the academic reputation of the program.
- Ability to collaborate with other faculty members in course writing, course teaching, and the development of an interdisciplinary, dynamic academic program.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to the evolving needs of working adult learners, offering flexibility and support to accommodate their professional and academic responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven capacity to create, record, and produce instructional materials and videos for effective online teaching, engaging with students, faculty, and the academic community.
In addition to meeting the required qualifications, preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate:
- Experience supervising doctoral dissertations and mentoring students through research processes, academic milestones, and professional development.
- A record of leadership roles within education, contributing to program development or administration.
- A commitment to incorporating diverse and cross-cultural perspectives into teaching or research in leadership and education.
- Proficiency in utilizing educational technologies, data analytics, and innovative tools to enhance online learning experiences and facilitate research collaboration.
- Experience mentoring students in ethical research practices, including IRB protocols and considerations for human subject protections.

PROGRAM AND UNIVERSITY OVERVIEW
The Ed.D. in Interdisciplinary Leadership at ¹ú²ú̽»¨ empowers educators and leaders across diverse fields to achieve leadership excellence through interdisciplinary inquiry, scholarly practice, and critical problem-solving. The program also emphasizes personal well-being, community development, and transformative action for social justice.
This 54-credit Ed.D. program follows a cohort model and is designed for educators and leaders. It includes core leadership courses, research courses, a three-course concentration in either Organizational Leadership or Educational Leadership, and dissertation courses. Students are paired with a dissertation chair early in the program to receive ongoing guidance throughout the dissertation process. Courses are taken sequentially, with two courses offered each fall, spring, and summer, each lasting 8 weeks. An annual onsite residency is required during the summer term. The Ed.D. program can be completed in as little as three years.
