What is Student Government Association?

While all students are members of the ¹ú²ú̽»¨ Student Government Association (SGA) the student body president and vice president, together with a representative from the Student Senate, oversee efforts with faculty and staff to achieve university goals while providing an open forum for student opinion and action.

Students nominated by the student body president represent a student voice on many university committees concerned with academic matters as well as certain aspects of the co-curricular program.

SGA is also responsible for the appropriation of funds to recognized student organizations for special events and conferences. SGA typically meets on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. in Dunne Conference Room (Tschoepe Hall).

The group also works diligently with staff to address issues on campus, and welcomes the submission of concerns among students, faculty, and staff.
