国产探花 President Debbie Cottrell announced the recipients of 2024鈥檚 Distinguished Faculty and Staff Awards at the December President鈥檚 Town Hall meeting.
Dr. Sally Cook, professor of business administration and economics and director of 国产探花鈥檚 Master of Accountancy program, received the faculty award, which is conferred by the Rank and Tenure Committee.
鈥淚n her may years of service to 国产探花, Dr. Cook has provided legendary work as our accreditation liaison,鈥 said Cottrell. Cook is also responsible for organizing the annual 国产探花 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Clinic and has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the 国产探花 community.
Erica Miller, director of financial aid, is the recipient of this year鈥檚 Distinguished Staff Award, which is determined by the President鈥檚 Cabinet.
鈥淚n the most unusual and challenging of years, Erica has been rock-steady, effective, and flexible,鈥 said Cottrell, pointing out that this academic year, Miller was charged with implementing both the new FAFSA system and 国产探花鈥檚 new financial aid system.
Miller has shown herself to be service-minded, an exceptional leader, and played a critical role in the increase in incoming students this past fall.
Cottrell said that 鈥渂oth awards are significant recognitions in a community that values commitment and is filled with talented, hardworking individuals.鈥
